How to Choose an Arabic Program

Choose an Arabic course by deciding where, with whom, and how you want to communicate.

Start with the situation

Modern Standard Arabic supports formal reading, writing, news, and communication across the Arabic-speaking world. Lebanese Arabic supports natural daily conversation in Lebanon and with Lebanese communities. Children may need a blended foundation that develops listening and speech alongside literacy. Quran reading has a distinct focus on accurate decoding, pronunciation, and guided practice.

Choose one primary outcome

Write down the task you most want to perform after 12 weeks: hold a family conversation, read a short formal text, communicate while traveling, support a child’s literacy, or read selected Quran passages. A clear outcome helps your instructor select the right balance of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and practice.

Use placement to avoid repetition

Even returning learners benefit from a short assessment. It identifies gaps without forcing you to restart material you already know.
